Large Flexible Keyboard
The 120 key position keyboard is completely programmable to meet your specific menu and operation requirements. Five levels are available for different menus. If your menu is large, you can use pop-up windows to display side dish options, preparation instructions or condiments, leaving keyboard space free for other menu items or functions.
Easy to Learn - Easy to Operate
Operators can be guided through trans-actions with prompting and pop-up windows which insure that you offer the right choices for each item. Other special functions include:
- The Transfer Check function quickly shifts guest check accountability from one server to another.
- The Server Close function can print a server's sale report, open check report, and punch the server out all in one simple operation.
- The Adjust Tender key allows incorrect tendering to be adjusted.
- The Hold Order function allows items to be entered without sending them to kitchen printers.
- The Continue function allows servers to quickly post multiple checks.
- Service keys can be configured to finalize guest check postings with or without check printing, and checks may be printed with or without the programmable trailer message.
Low Profile, Space Saving Design
The attractive and compact CRS 3000 will compliment any restaurant environment. The entire terminal is housed in a package about the size of a legal note pad and less than six inches high. At your bar, the CRS 3000 won't steal space or obstruct vision, leaving room for more customers and better service.
Multi-Line Operator Screen
With an adjustable multi-line, forty character screen, you can view up to 12 lines of order information simultaneously.
- As you enter items, they appear on the screen for easy viewing and confirmation. Items serviced previously can be displayed for review and and/or correction.
- Scrolling keys allow you to view all of the items on larger guest checks.
- An optional backlit display provides excellent visibility in low light environments.
Soft Check
The CRS 3000 maintains each item of each guest check in memory. This allows you to eliminate custom printed guest checks. Because you can view an entire check on the display, you needn't print the check until the table is finished. The result is a clear and concise guest check. Of course, prior to settlement; and you can customize it with your own programmable message and graphic logo.
Automatic Price Changes
The CRS 3000 will automatically shift prices for items you may choose to price differently by date, time and/or day of week. You can set up to eight price levels, for example, well, call, tap and premium drinks at your regular, happy hour and entertainment prices.
Programmable Display Keys Provide Flexibility For Fast Order Throughput and Transaction Control
The CRS 3000 Table Look-Up function conserves keyboard space. Now you don't need to have a large confusing keyboard to enter your customer's order. Each key on the CRS 3000 can be programmed to display up to seven function keys or up to 250 menu items! For example, one key can be simply labeled "Manager." Using a special key the manager can access up to seven functions from that keyboard location. This provides six additional keyboard locations for menu items or other functions. And since there are five levels on the CRS system, these manager functions can actually be completely hidden off the keyboard. Large complex menus can be simplified with the table look-up function too. For example, one key can be labeled "salads." When the operator de-presses "salads" up to 250 choices can be displayed. Only CRS offers simplicity in a compact package that also provides the detailed accuracy needed to operate your restaurant.
Flexible Printing Capabilities
Off the shelf hardware is used rather than expensive proprietary options. Choose from a variety of heavy-duty industry standard RS-232C printers.
- Two-colour print available for guest checks and kitchen requisitions
- Journal print mode for tracking sales
- 40-columns wide for easy reading
- Depot serviceable printers are easily interchanged. (No switches need to be set to identify a printer to the system.)
Fast and Quiet Thermal Printers
Up to four times the speed of impact printers, thermal printers are ideal for bar and precheck applications where speed and quiet operation are essential. Thermal printers don't require ink ribbons or expensive maintenance, and they are extremely quiet.
Tip Reporting
To ease compliance with federal regulations, the CRS 3000 accumulates sales information and calculates tip allocation totals for each server.
- Daily and Period-to-Date Server reports contain tip allocation totals.
- Programmable allocation rate, for example 8% or 11%
- Charge tips can be automatically deducted from cash-in-drawer totals.
- Charge processing fees for the charge tip portion of the payment can be netted from each servers charge tip total.
- A cash tip declaration key allows cash tip entry by the server.
Menu Driven Report Selection
CRS 3000 report selections make it easy to manage your business. For up-to-the minute information, simple choose your option from the report screen.
Easy to Read Reports
Economical 40 columns printers may be used for management reports, receipts, requisitions or a sales journal. Clear, concise and detailed management reports are easy to balance and easy to read - much easier to read than reports on narrow cash register tapes.
Timekeeping System
The CRS 3000 includes a comprehensive timekeeping system.
- Each employee can be assigned to up to four different job codes and pay rates.
- Overtime is computed by daily or weekly methods. The overtime factor, for example, time and one half is programmable.
- The employee file maintains each employees number, name, social security number, cashier/server number, key number and authority level.
- Forget to clock-in? With appropriate authority, clock times can be edited. Edits are printed to create an audit record of the change.
- Timekeeping information is reported by up to 20 job codes to help identify areas of labor usage.
Security and Management Control
The CRS 3000 provides a traditional key-lock security system, with separate keys for management functions, resetting of totals and programming. In addition, the employee file includes separate authority level assignment. Up to 20 authority levels can be defined. Each level is set to allow or deny access to a complete list of terminal functions, from clock-in/clock-out only to report taking and programming authority. |
